Great sandwiches in a top-notch location, but the space is limited, and that makes for a challenging setup, particularly during busy hours. The patio helps provide more seating space, but it's also small and strictly a fair weather proposition. Prices are high, and placing an order is an automated process with zero human interaction. The bread is a bit hard, and the waffle fries are overcooked and borderline tasteless.
This place is in the tourist destination, The Wharf. So, parking is an overpriced nightmare. And this place isn’t much better. You can only order at kiosks which seemed to take forever due to indecisive customers trying to figure out what they want. Then, one of the kiosks wasn’t working properly, so that was adding to the confusion. We had to wipe our table down because it had not been properly cleaned. When we got our food I was pretty excited because the sandwiches looked great. Unfortunately they weren’t that great. All thee of us felt disappointed that our sandwich wasn’t very flavorful. Same could be said about the waffle fries. They looked good but were bland and flavorless. I will say that the sandwiches and order of fries are big and could probably be split between two people unless they are REALLY hungry. Our bill for three sandwiches, two fries and three waters was $70; $10.50 of which was just for the waters. Not a good deal at all. I do not recommend this place or The Wharf.
Clean, fast, and friendly. The food was well portioned and made to order and delicious. I would definitely come back to try again.
Solid choice for sandwiches, salads and cheesesteaks, though the apps and sides steal the show. If you like hard bread sandwiches and full flavor, I recommend the Retzo. Start with the waffle fries and risotto bites.
My favorite Italian sandwich in the dmv at the moment. The bread is fantastic and the veggie to meat ratio is great. I think adding the spicy pepper option also elevates the sandwich. Also you can walk 1 min to the dock and look at the views.
Oh...arrived here after a long day touring DC and it was perfect! Near the Pier and people but also not overwhelming. The rest of my group was still wandering or waiting for pot stickers when I lured them in with the menu options.
My salad (Lil C's) was Great. My only regret was snacking on the way and not being able to finish it. My hubby's chicken Philly was also good, from what he said and I could pick off of it. The Menilla sandwich though...our friend said it was The Best Sandwich he's ever had!! Really!! In fact, I took a picture of the menu item so he could try to recreat it for himself.
Overall, a great pick that had us all full, satisfied and happy!
Very awesome risotto balls. Highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for a quick snack at The Wharf.
Very nice service and welcoming staff here!
I would come again and try their sandwiches because they looked so good. As for the risotto balls, I give them 10/10.
Great cheap spot amongst very expensive restaurant options, the sandwiches were delicious and the risoto ball were delightul, the staff was friendly and the place was not too crowded.
The warf is expensive, this place is great for a cheaper meal!
